I sincerely put a lot of effort and thoughts into this new small business.
The first six months of no work may seemed like a dream come true to those 8 - 5 office workers, but what if it's 'No work, No pay'?
I received the news of MCO in mid March, 2020. All schools were asked to close. Tuition centres weren't allowed to operate. And so I couldn't tutor. I just stayed at home, doing nothing. But, don't get me wrong. I actually did enjoy my time at home, with my husband and my 2 children.
I didn't start this business right away as I was hesitating and doubting a lot. I finally made up my mind and decided to start this business in November, 2020. And so, I started planning and buying resources, reading information online for more jewellery knowledge.
I must admit, this isn't the first small business I've attempted. I've sold handmade headbands before. I would say, it was more like a hobby with benefits. In this sense, it's earning money. Later, I also started doing flower bouquets and gift baskets. I'm still interested in continuing the flower business so long my customers continue to place orders. It's actually a very calming and fun thing to do. Admiring the fresh beautiful flowers while wrapping them up nicely for a customer's special someone.
So, why fashion jewelleries? Well, who isn't interested in nice fancy accessories? Be it real gold, real diamond, or just a cubic zirconia or gold plated; everyone deserves a nice shimmering jewellery piece, right?

Even for buyers who can afford jewelleries worth over few thousands, or even more than 10k; At times, a simple dainty ring or a pair of casual earrings are what you need to brighten up your look-of-the-day.

Trying to be more creative, I also hand-crafted some pieces on my own. With the DIY tools and materials, custom work isn't as tedious as I initially thought. I will continue to work on my skills to present customers more beautiful and more choices of jewelleries and accessories.
